Attic Breeze attached panel roof-mount fans carry multiple certifications and endorsements including Miami-Dade NOA, Florida Building Code, HVHZ, Texas Windstorm (TDI), and IBHS FORTIFIED®.
Attic Breeze roof-mount fans are independently tested and approved to meet strict building and windstorm standards, including Miami-Dade, Florida Building Code, Texas Windstorm, and IBHS FORTIFIED® requirements.
Anyone can say a fan is built tough. An approval means someone with no stake in it agreed. Independent labs test our roof-mount fans for high wind, wind-driven rain, and consistent quality, and the state publishes the results with a number attached — so a contractor can pull a permit, and a homeowner can verify it. Approvals run by model and mount, so check the one that fits your fan.
Attic Breeze roof-mount fans are independently tested for high winds, wind-driven rain, and product quality. These certifications and approvals provide proof that qualifying models meet strict building requirements, so you can feel confident your fan is built for the conditions where you live.
Texas Windstorm (TDI)
Along the Texas coast, building and insuring a home go hand in hand. Rather than repeat testing that’s already been done, the Texas Department of Insurance accepts our Miami-Dade Notice of Acceptance and lists it in the state Windstorm System — one approval, recognized on both coasts. For homeowners near the Gulf, that recognition is what keeps the windstorm coverage process moving.
If you live along the Texas coast, your home may need special approval for high winds and hurricanes. Attic Breeze UltraBreeze™ and AeroBreeze™ fans are approved by the Texas Department of Insurance for these areas. This approval helps show that your fan meets Texas windstorm requirements and can make the inspection and insurance process easier.
Miami-Dade NOA
Miami-Dade County has some of the toughest roofing standards in the country. Before a product earns a Notice of Acceptance, it must undergo rigorous independent testing for the conditions roofs face during severe storms. Attic Breeze roof-mount fans have met those standards, giving homeowners confidence when it matters most.
Miami-Dade County has strict rules for products installed on roofs because hurricanes can bring very strong winds and heavy rain. A Miami-Dade Notice of Acceptance (NOA) means the product has been tested and approved for these severe weather conditions. Attic Breeze roof-mount fans have earned this approval.
Florida Building Code Approved
Florida sets the pace for the rest of the country on building products, and nothing gets on a roof there on a manufacturer say-so. A licensed engineer or approved lab evaluates the product, and the Florida Building Commission reviews the results and lists it statewide. Attic Breeze roof-mount fans carry that listing, and the approval number goes straight onto a permit.
Florida has strict building rules because homes can face hurricanes, strong winds, and heavy rain. Attic Breeze roof-mount fans have been tested and approved to meet Florida Building Code requirements. This approval also gives your contractor the information needed when a building permit is required.
High-Velocity Hurricane Zone (HVHZ)
Your roof is your home’s first line of defense. Anything installed on it should be built to the same standard. Attic Breeze roof-mount fans are approved for Florida’s High-Velocity Hurricane Zone, where roofing products are evaluated to some of the most demanding storm-performance requirements in the country.
Some parts of Florida face a higher risk of powerful hurricanes. These areas are called the High-Velocity Hurricane Zone (HVHZ) and have stricter rules for products installed on a roof. Attic Breeze roof-mount fans are approved for these areas, which means they have been tested to meet these tougher hurricane requirements.
